Our Story
Georgia Bosson
Georgia is a textile designer specialising in patchwork and print. Her eponymous studio is based in South London and takes on projects that intersect architecture, interiors, and craft.
The studio explores heritage craft processes in contemporary design contexts. Rooted in Georgia’s embroidery training, her work fuses textile innovation with traditional craftsmanship, with a signature style which is modern but timeless and playfully understated.
She has collaborated on projects with the likes of Assemble, Studio Weave, Tate and Patch across various projects, from screen-printed plywood homewares to large-scale acoustic curtains.
Process
The studio approaches every project with creativity and playfulness. We create textiles which form an integral part of architectural schemes, adding warmth and colour, softening hard edges and dampening unwanted sound.
An in-depth knowledge of commercial and residential requirements informs our considered approach to materials. Our design ethos is rooted in the idea that timeless design is ultimately the most sustainable route, and we work to create pieces that will live in spaces for years to come.
An emphasis on craftsmanship ensures that our textiles are finished to the highest standards, applying craft techniques to large-scale projects. Working with a factory which runs a parallel social enterprise in North London, we create architectural curtains for commercial spaces.
Our quilts are all made in-house in the South London studio and are crafted with the utmost care from designer deadstock materials, European linen and organic wool. They are fabric drawings, each one is a textile collage enhanced with stitch. They are dynamic and playful heirlooms-in-waiting and will add character to any room. Each one is carefully pieced by hand in our London studio and quilted with the highest quality materials.
