A New Chapter: A letter from founder Georgia Bosson
Hello,
It is time for a new chapter at Georgia Bosson Studio; 10 years ago, I sold my first cushion at a market stall, and I’m excited to announce some significant changes to celebrate this milestone.
With the business now focused on some fantastic special projects and commissions, it makes sense to shift the making and selling side of the studio to limited-edition production runs. The year-round online shop will close, replaced with seasonal drops and an emphasis on meeting you IRL at my new purpose-built studio (news of ‘the big Move’ coming soon.) This supports my creative vision to develop brilliant products sustainably.
To this end, on 27th April, I will launch the biggest-ever sale at GBS. I have rarely put anything into purchase and have always worked towards reducing over-stock, so there is very little waste. But I need to make some space for all the newness, allowing you to get your hands on the final editions from the first decade of GBS.
All standard range products will go into the clearance sale on my online shop. Starting 27th April, up to 50% will be off on selected lines, with discounts from 20% across the board. The sale will finish on 21st May (or before if everything is sold) when the online shop will close.
This is not an ending; it is the beginning of something I have been working towards since I sold that first cushion.
I cannot wait to invite you to the new studio, where I will host regular workshops and events and, of course, a launch party. Future product drops, news and events will always be announced in the newsletter first, so make sure you’re subscribed.
Finally, thank you for the past ten years to my customers, collaborators and champions; here’s to the next ten!
Georgia Bosson
P.S. Feeling nostalgic? Here’s a little highlights reel from the past ten years, one photo for each year, including the first-ever market stall with Crafty Fox, the founding of Makers House and finishing with the launch of my latest collection with Neptune.
